1 / Where are you based?

We are based in Ipswich, Suffolk.  

2 / How do I hire?

Please head to our contact form to send us an enquiry to find out if the item or items you are interested in are available on your date.

 

You can also use this form to ask us any questions about our stock.

3 / Do you deliver?

Unfortunately, we are not able to offer delivery. We have a set pick-up and return window on Wednesdays. 

4 / How long is your hire period?

Our items are available for 7 days.

5 / Do you hire all year round?

Yes! We can cater for your event, whenever it might be.

6 / I don’t live in Suffolk - can I hire from you?

Of course! You might like to consider that One Day Event Hire is a collection-only event hire company, so you will need to factor in travel to Ipswich for both collection and return.

Hiring is a cost-effective way to style your event. It is also a great environmental choice, reducing waste generated by one-off events which end up in landfill.

 

If you aren’t local to us, we would recommend searching for a local supplier to style your wedding or event, a great decision for the environment and your community.

7 / Do I have to pay a damage deposit?

Yes, we do ask for a fully refundable security deposit for all our hires. This is refunded to you in full within 10 working days of returning the item in the condition it was hired to you in.

8 / Do you charge delivery costs?

We don’t offer delivery, so there are no hidden costs.

9 / I am having an eco-friendly wedding - should I hire from you? 

We would love that. Hiring is one of the best decisions you can make for the environment when planning an event. We have been careful to source our range as responsibly as possible, with quality and environmental impact front of mind. If you have any questions about how we run our business responsibly, please do get in touch.

10 / Do you offer additional services?

We know lots of wedding companies offer additional services, such as styling or bigger items to hire such as marquees and chair covers.

 

We don’t do this but we’re happy to recommend other fantastic local suppliers who can help you with this. Visit our Local Wedding Resources page for our recommended local companies.

11 / Why can't I collect or return my item at the weekend, or at a time outside of your collection windows?

We're sorry we can't offer more flexibility here. Our hire period is 7 days, to give our customers as much time as possible to collect, use and return their items. 

12 / Can I view your items before making a booking?

Yes, absolutely. We offering viewings during our collection window on Wednesdays. Please get in touch to arrange.

13 / Are you just big fans of David Nicholls' One Day?

Yes, who isn't?! Book, film, TV series - all joyous. But love it as we do, our name is really just about what we do - make your big 'one day' memorable, with our special little touches.
